Even if you are already familiar with Lower-World work, you will find much new material and deeper insights in this course.
WHY NEXT STEPS COURSES?
After completing the college’s First-Step course, these courses are the next step for those who wish to explore therapeutic shamanism and animism further. The courses focus on exploring the shamanic Lower-World practices in detail, developing a deep connection with Lower-World Guides (including Human, Animal Plant and Stone ones) and finding our own true and authentic Lower-World Soul – the person we are truly meant to be. In doing so, as well as being potentially profoundly healing and life-changing, the courses also help people develop a shamanic practice that is both deeply rooted and grounded.

Shamanic reality is as strange as quantum reality (in some ways, it is quantum reality). To be able to perceive it, we fashion it into metaphors and symbols that we can relate to. So what we experience in shamanic journeying is mythologically, not literally, factually true. So we need to spend time interpreting it, making sense of it.

- SEA: explore the relationship between Sea, the Mother Archetype, and healing grief and attachment wounds;
- LAND: explore the relationship between Land,place in the world, and the Father Archetype;
- AIR: explore the relationship between Air, Spirit, and the role of Bird Medicine in shamanism;
- FIRE: explore the relationship between Fire as transformation, the Hero’s/Heroine’s journey and making the darkness conscious.

GETTING BACK INTO THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP
- As modern humans we are very disconnected from the environment we live in. We experience it as human going into nature, entering it, like it’s something separate from us. And we tend to bring that to shamanic journeys too – we are a human experiencing being a waterfall, a human experiencing being panther.
- This course will shock us out of our human disconnection bubble, and challenge us to be Waterfall, to be Wind, to be Wave. We are a twig on a branch of a much bigger tree of Life and we need to learn to start living as an interconnected being again, as part of Nature. Environments are sentient, conscious beings we can have a conversation with if we are willing to listen.
