a. Our receiving your course fees marks the start of the agreement between us. Under consumer rights, you then have 14 days to withdraw from the course and receive a refund if you wish.
i. If you notify us you wish to withdraw from the course within this 14-day period, and the course has not started within this period, then you are entitled to a refund in full minus a 20% admin charge.
ii. If you notify us you wish to withdraw from the course within this 14-day period, and the course has started within this period, then you are entitled to a refund in full minus a 20% admin charge and minus fees for any course modules that have already been unlocked by us (worked out as a percentage – total course modules divided by the number of modules already unlocked.
iii. If you notify us you wish to withdraw from the course after this 14-day period, then any fees paid by you are non-refundable and non-transferable (so please don’t ask!).
b. We reserve the right to withdraw a student’s place on a course at any point (see below). If we withdraw your place on a course, or if we cancel a course, we will refund any fees paid for modules that have not yet been unlocked, but not for any modules that have already been unlocked.
Courses are delivered in English. We do not provide translation services.
Our courses are online courses. To be able to participate in them you will need access to an internet-enabled device. Ideally something with a decent-sized screen such as a computer, laptop, or tablet, but a smart-phone will work if that is all you have.
In addition to pre-recorded videos, most courses have live sessions too. Attending these live is optional. The live sessions are recorded, and the recordings are then made available for all students to watch. Only the time spent in the main group is recorded though − for technical reasons, and for reasons of privacy, time spent on break-out rooms is not recorded. If you wish to attend the live sessions:
i. You will need an internet-enabled device with a camera, speakers, and a microphone, and a decent internet connection.
ii. We use Zoom for the live sessions, so you will need Zoom Meetings installed on your device.
iii. During Zoom sessions, you will need to have your camera on at all times, and be present and clearly visible on screen. You must also be in a place that is private (no other people in the room), quiet, and free of distractions. Otherwise you will be removed from the meeting.
Our students are very important to us and we value them highly. Occasionally though, it becomes necessary for us to remove people from a course’s discussion groups or from a course entirely, and even close their account with us. This is never something that we do lightly, but when we do deem it necessary then the decision is ours alone to make. Reasons we may need to remove students can include:
i. Non-payment of fees.
ii. To help ensure the college is a safe and healing environment. We have a zero-tolerance policy with regard to things like bullying behaviour, and racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic comments.
iii. Inappropriate behaviour such as being intoxicated, inappropriately dressed or disruptive during live sessions.
iv. Unethical behaviour. We take ethics extremely seriously and will not be part of training people who use shamanism in ways that breach our ethical standards.
v. Mental health issues.
vi. Breaches of our terms and conditions.
Access to course materials is dependent on having an active account with us. If you no longer have an account with us, you will no longer have access to any course material (for refunds in this case, see above).
Only students with a current and active account with us have access to recordings and other course material.
Recordings are the property of the college. Students must not make their own copies of them.
Recordings are available to watch via our website but are not downloadable, and not visible to the public.
We record the live sessions. If you choose to attend the live sessions, you are consenting to this.
The recordings of the live sessions are restricted to time spent in the main group. They do not include time spent in break-out rooms (for both technical reasons, and for reasons of confidentiality and creating a safe discussion-space).
To ensure that the live meetings are confidential and safe spaces, students must not make their own recordings of live meetings under any circumstances, audio or otherwise.
Access to a course’s discussion groups is at the tutors’ discretion (see above).
For administration and teaching purposes, your booking information, and any other information you provide us with, will be available to all the college’s core team. In booking on a course with us you are giving your consent to this. Your privacy is important to us though, and so we take measures to store all such information securely and will never pass this information on to anyone else without your consent.
a. We reserve the right to update our Terms and Conditions as necessary. Students will be notified of changes to the Terms and Conditions via the college website.
b. The latest version of the Terms and Conditions supersedes previous versions.
