Something inside someone or attached to them, but which does not belong to them. Can be various things, including an introject, a thought form, an entity, and so on. May be an ‘inanimate’ thing (i.e. ‘a knife in one’s back’, ‘a thorn in one’s side’), or a ‘living thing’.
