Workshops, courses and training in shamanism
The shamanism courses range from Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced weekends, to a full Practitioner Training. The courses are held throughout the UK, but mostly in Northern England at the present.
The day is an introduction to the key components of core shamanism. It introduces people to what shamanism is, and what it can do, and the basics of how to do a shamanic journey, and a power animal retrieval. These weekends take one deeply into specific aspects of shamanism. Together, they offer a solid training in core shamanic work. Weekends offered include: Soul Retrieval; Shamanic Healing (including extraction work); Plant Spirit Medicine; Working with Shamanic Allies and Tools; Shamanism and Death and Dying; Shapeshifting; Working with the Drum and the Rattle; and many more. The Advanced Weekends (Shamanic Counselling and Psychotherapy)
Coming in 2013. These modules are for experienced practitioners who wish to take their shamanic work to a new level. The main focus of the modules will be to explore the interface between shamanism and psychotherapy, and how the two approaches can enhance and enrich each other. For details, click here.
Taking a minimum of twelve of the Advanced Courses, and a minimum of two Practitioner Weekends over a period of two (or more) years forms the basis of the Therapeutic Shamanism Practitioner Training.
